Cameron “Action” Jackson spent the last 22 years of his life in Darwin. He first started in media at ABC TV when he was 16 before he realised that news journalists are actually really stiff and boring and decided to get into commercial radio. It was here that he was branded “Action Jackson” while he drove around Darwin acting like a goose in the radio station’s car and giving away freebies (police are still wondering what the blur was on the speed cameras). Action decided to moved away from Darwin to the Alice Springs in May 2009 and started working at Sun969 in September as commercial producer (he makes the ads), news presenter and announcer.  |

Lauren “Loz” Duggan found her passion for radio in Melbourne after graduating from Essendon Keilor Collage in 2007. She first completed a liberal arts degree at Swinburn University before being accepted to Melbourne Radio School (AFTRS). Loz moved up to the red centre in mid-2009 to take up her role as announcer extraordinaire on the airwaves of Sun969 between 10am and 2pm weekdays and from 6am on Saturday and Sunday mornings She says reason she loves Alice—besides her boyfriend—is the people, the lifestyle and the funny Northern Territorian accent. |
